History

Nova Scotia was an educational centre years before Canada became a country. We've been educating students since 1789 and our experience has taught us well. Today, Nova Scotia is home to 11 universities that offer every field of learning imaginable. Our schools are innovative, globally-recognized institutions that provide an education that competes with anywhere in the world. Our graduates have become prime ministers, astronauts, inventors, teachers, doctors, scientists, community and business leaders.

Nova Scotia universities have produced Prime Ministers, Premiers, television stars, and world leaders in research, business, science and the arts. A recent survey determined 96% of Nova Scotia graduates have found employment.
